I feel awful and would have loved to be with her. I wonder if she was crying. She must have been overwhelmed. I hate that I couldn’t leave then, with all the trainings and the rest of the battles. It was one of the best opportunities I had to talk to her and tell her everything. Damn training schedule. But it’s not just me fighting on this side, so I can’t be selfish.

I know it’s not the same thing, but I’m also overwhelmed from all the trainings and the fighting. Everything hurts, and I don’t think I’ve ever practiced so hard. I have days-old wounds that still won’t heal. And there are moments when I feel like all the magic inside me has been drained. That I will try to cast a spell, but nothing will come out. When I’m not training, I’m searching for the other half of the mirror, keeping Sophie on my mind at all times. And in my heart. Trying to check on her without her knowing so she doesn’t feel controlled. I know it seems creepy, but I swear everything I do is for her own good.

I’d lie if I said I’m not afraid. Mostly for Sophie and her safety, but I’m afraid of what will happen to all of us if this mirror gets put together in the wrong hands.

This tournament can’t be over soon enough.
